Club Stand 2017

The Epsom Area MG Owners' Club arranges several displays of members' MGs through the summer months, for the benefit of local schools and charities.
To be able to create a good display of cars at all the events it would be helpful if you could let me know as soon as possible which you would like to attend.
I shall pester members at monthly meetings or you can phone me and let me know.
This year's list includes the following events:

Green Lane School, Worcester Park
Saturday 1st July

We have once again been requested to attend as the main feature of the School Fête, so please keep your day free.

The fête takes place from 11am till 2pm so please arrive no later than 10.30 allowing time to be positioned on the stand.  Bring your own food although there should be a barbeque running.

Tea and essentials will once again be available.

Whiteley Village
Saturday 15th July

Once again we are attending this very popular event. We do need to be onsite no later than 11 30 am, thus allowing time to set up.

As most of you know it is a very good day out.

Whiteley Village is near Hersham.  Follow A3 to the Weybridge (Brooklands) slip road, leave A3 and follow signs to Brooklands Museum.  At the first set of traffic lights on dual carriageway, turn right onto the Seven Hills road.  Continue past the entrance to Whiteley Village on your right until you reach the roundabout.  Turn right towards Hersham, then watch out for the entrance to Whiteley Village on the right.  This is the vehicular entry.

We do need to be onsite no later than 11.30am.  The fete opens at 12.30 and closes at 4pm.  Tea and biscuits will of course be available as usual.  There are plenty of food and drinks outlets at the fete should you not wish to bring your own

This is a great event with lots of stalls and attractions for members to enjoy.
Although it is the day before the Surrey Run, I hope lots of members will be able to come.

I NOW HAVE PASSES FOR THIS EVENT PLEASE SEE ME AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE.

Cranleigh Classic car show
Sunday 13th August

Once again we will be attending and joining up with East Surrey MGOC and, to add to your enjoyment of the event, we are hopefully destined to enter the arena; don’t know how this is going to pan out at the moment but should be fun.

The format has changed.  I now have a code for booking in. If you would like to attend please see or contact me and I will pass the code on to you. Booking must be done before Saturday 15th July (this deadline is later than the one originally stated).  You will have to book on line and pay individually, to be on the Club Stand, hopefully combined with East Surrey.

If you would like to suggest any events that we could attend in 2017, could you please let me know by telling me at a monthly meeting, email me or phone 01483 423169.

Could you donate bone marrow?
One of our members would like to ask whether you have thought of being a bone marrow donor. Our member has very personal reasons for making this appeal so I’ve checked out the details which are on two websites:
www.blood.co.uk
www.anthonynolan.org/
The telephone numbers are 0845 7 711 711 and 020 7284 1234 respectively, or just check with your Doctor’s surgery.

The Blood Transfusion service has an age limit of 49 and the Anthony Nolan Trust a limit of 40 but please, please, don't just think about it do it.

Thank you for anybody's life you might save.
