ROYAL WINDSOR MG HERITAGE FESTIVAL - THE MG EVENT OF A LIFETIME

The MG Owners' Club has been asked to spearhead an MG event, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Windsor and Eton, the MG Car Club, the MG Octagon Car Club, the Early MG Society and the Crown Estates, the likes of which will probably never be seen again. On Saturday 25th April, over 250 of the finest MGs from the very earliest cars to the very latest will assemble in Royal Windsor, before motoring to Windsor Castle, through St. George's Gate into the Royal Quadrangle and past a saluting dais and then out of the castle into Frogmore, where the cars will be on display to the public.

It is all part of a spectacular weekend of events to raise money for the Prince Philip Trust Fund and Rotary charities. In addition to the Royal Parade, which is virtually fully subscribed, the Clubs are also putting together a series of nine organised runs starting within an 80-90 mile radius of Windsor culminating in a scenic drive through the private grounds of Windsor Great Park. The hope is to have 1000 MGs lining the Long Walk leading up to Windsor Castle.

If you would like to take part there are still a few places left for the Parade, alternatively if you would like to participate in one of the scenic runs there is good availability so please refer to the advert on page 26 of the February issue of Enjoying MG or contact Jonathan Kimber for more details of both the Parade and the multi-start point scenic runs.
