Epsom MGOC have been offered 5 tickets for each special recording of Top Gear Studio Records (following an introduction via the MG Owners Club).

The BBC are looking for convertible cars, fitted with a FM Radio (needed so you can tune in and hear the action) at a series of shows featuring a drive-in recording, so you must attend in a car – there will be NO audience seating or standing areas. Cars will be parked at safe distances to follow Government advice and precautions regarding Covid-19.

The BBC are going to use a “drive-in” style studio and require some amazing convertibles to fill our front rows and enjoy the show from the comfort of their car.

The recordings will take place on the evenings of the 8th, 9th and 10th of September at Dunsfold Aerodrome, Cranleigh, GU6 8TB.

This is a brand new set-up for the Top Gear Studio Records and members will not need to do anything but simply park up, enjoy the show and get their cars on TV!

As it stands, Chris Holroyd-Jones of the BBC is organising this event and he will be working on a first come, first served basis and restricted to 5 tickets per recording. This is a ticket per car so can be for more than 1 person as long as they are made up from the same household or social bubbles.

If any members are interested please contact Chris, by email, on- chris.holroyd-jones@bbc.co.uk and include their name, their car, their contact details and what date they wish to attend.

The recordings will take place on Dunsfold Aerodrome’s track.  Although this will not be a live track and completely reserved for the BBC use only, please make sure you are happy being parked up on the track before attending as we will not be able to cover your insurance for this event.
